I am standing for the Dons Trust Board because I believe the Trust is worth running well.
Fan ownership is not the obstacle to this club's progress. It is the reason the club exists. But a model built on trust has to keep earning it, and I am trustworthy enough to ensure you can trust the Trust again.
Some members will not recognise my name. I regard this as a strength.
I would be grateful for your vote.
Wesley Wombleton
Voting opens in the autumn. All Dons Trust members are eligible to vote online or by post. Details will arrive with the official election pack.
Members may vote for up to four candidates. The campaign suggests one will do.
“He listens, he takes notes, and he follows up. That should not be remarkable. It currently is.”

Wesley Wombleton has supported Wimbledon for longer than he is prepared to put in writing. Kingsmeadow in the lean years. Aldershot away more times than was strictly necessary. Plough Lane the day it reopened, and on several quieter days since.
Professionally, two decades in operations and governance. Committee structure. Budget oversight. The orderly closure of projects that have run their course.
He has attended every Special General Meeting since 2016, including the ones that were adjourned. He has read every set of published minutes, and noted the unpublished ones.
Members who do not recognise the name will recognise the man when they see him. Wesley is the man at the back of the West Stand wearing glasses.
Bi-monthly member meetings, a monthly newsletter, an annual survey. Costed in full.
Tracked through Wombleton Performance Indicators (WPIs). Methodology on request.
Ninety days to prove purpose. Survivors reconstituted as Working Parties.
Morality test for the incoming investor. Applied retrospectively. Scored via WPIs. Every protection of 75+1, delivered under 50+1.
Former DTB members convened as a formal advisory body. They know best. (* Technically WOBMAT. Wesley has considered this and moved on.)
Surplus permitting, subsidised San Miguel for Dons Trust members.
Only Wesley can deliver a better tomorrow, today.
